Small Steps for Big Changes

Feeling the pinch and starting to feel anxious about the future?

Remember you’re not alone!

Looking after your health doesn’t have to be expensive, meal planning doesn’t have to become tiresome, and exercising doesn’t mean signing up to the gym!

The key to regaining control of your life is to start making small changes. It doesn’t have to be stressful and overwhelming just break it down into small, manageable tasks.

Here are a few examples to get you started:

Bravely set your alarm an hour earlier and move your body! – Exercising first thing in the morning will set the tone for the rest of your day and leave you feeling accomplished and strong, well before 8 a.m. and all achieved before you go to work or need to drop the kids off at school.

Eat the frog! Do the most important task first thing in the morning every day – It appears to be simple, but most of us fail to do it. Similar to the previous tip, if getting in a run or planning healthy meals for yourself is your top priority, doing so first virtually eliminates the possibility of anything else getting in the way.

Eat meals made from whole foods – Try foods that will not upset your stomach or keep you awake at night. Avoid ingredients like caffeine, sugar, and other preservatives. Limiting these will not only help you to fall asleep more easily but also make for a deeper slumber. We all know a good night’s sleep will help you to start the day refreshed.

Be honest with yourself: Are you eating the right foods at the right time?

You can compromise on your usual holiday or redecorating the house but don’t compromise on your health!
