Before Her Weight Loss

After being badly injured in a hit-and-run incident, Moyo was wheelchair-bound for more than a few years. Because of her lack of mobility, she found it hard to exercise and keep the weight off, and her size went from a size 12 to a size 20. As an emotional eater, she needed help to control her fluctuating weight.  

Research & Discovery

Originally interested in having a Gastric Balloon with the Gastric Balloon Group, Moyo was informed about the Weight Loss Clinic’s weekly weight loss medication programme by a customer care advisor.  

She hadn’t considered weight loss surgery and wasn’t ready to undergo something so drastic. She believed the injections give her the boost she needed to get back on track.  

Life After Weight Loss

Moyo found administering the weight loss medication to be an easy enough procedure to perform on herself. The Weight Loss Clinic Patient Care Coordinator, Amy, was incredibly helpful, and made sure to check up on her and her progress.  

With so many classes available through the WLC app and 19-month twins to take care of, Moyo couldn’t make all the live classes, but was able to speak to the health coach about her nutrition, meal planning, and implementing it properly into her busy lifestyle.    

With her focus being to obtain a healthier diet, she found herself losing weight with little to no exercise.  

Moyo would recommend the weekly weight loss injections to anyone struggling to lose weight before going down the surgery route.  

She says losing weight is not the only factor that needs to be considered. Having the 6-month programme is an ideal time to correct and better your relationship with food and understand what goals you’re trying to achieve.
