Here’s how to incorporate mindfulness into your workout routine: 

Focus on your breathing

Just like any other form of mindfulness meditation, it’s essential to focus on your breathing. When exercising, concentrate on how your breath moves through your body to enhance your workout.

Pre-meditation

To properly motivate yourself for a workout, use mindful meditation as a warmup.

The simple solution is to take a few minutes to go over your exercise plan and see how it changes your mood. Consider what you want to achieve during the session, what body parts you will be working out, and how you want them to feel after you have finished.

Turn off music

It’s pretty common for people to listen to music while exercising because it elevates their mood and motivates them to continue going through discomfort.

However, if you want to get into a more mindful way of working out, you should consider skipping your playlist this week.

When you focus on just the sounds around you, you can concentrate much better on your actions and be more present in the moment.
